O God, my Sustainer – you bring me hope, you bring a new song each morning. Blessing after blessing, day after day the Great I am is not far from me. You redeem me from this earthly pit of condemnation. You restore the joy that is ever tempted to stray from my thoughts. When overwhelmed, you flood my mind stead of righteousness. Your presence which engulfs my being has power to vindicate me – and that is where my heart has longing. O God, my Sustainer you have awaken me another dawn that my breath shall exude life and glory and love. With your touch I generate my first step into this day, hoping to fulfill all you hold for me.
