This morning a brother in Christ, Sean Schoonmaker, passed away after a bad car accident. It’s crazy to think that I haven’t known him for more than 3 months but spent 11 of those weeks with him in the same project family. It all came as a shock to us when we heard the devastating news.
Our project team had truly grown into a family, and missing one of our dear friends is tough. We can’t explain it or try to understand the timing, but it’s been good to think back to NMB with great memories.
Sean was a great man of God who used his gifts and talents to help lead our team in the best way possible. He will truly be missed.
Starting today I’ll be thinking twice before starting my car without a seatbelt and dwell a little more on the legacy I’lll leave once I’m gone.
On the plus side, all of Sean’s friends and family can be comforted by the Great Comforter of All. Isaiah 57:1 – The righteous man is taken away from calamity and enters into peace. Thank you Jesus for your overwhelming comfort in the fact that we know Sean is in a place of peace, partying with God and the angels.
Until we meet again, Sean.
